Women to be sent to see a psychiatrist if they don’t want children in Russia under Putin’s warped plans to boost births

RUSSIAN women will be sent to psychiatrists if they don’t want children under Vladimir Putin’s deranged bid to boost plunging birth rates.

The tyrant faces a rapidly declining population due to his meat grinder war in Ukraine which has cost countless Russian lives.

Facing a dwindling population, warped Putin has ordered doctors to send women refusing to have children to see psychiatrists.

New guidelines state that during medical examinations, women will be asked how many children they would like.

If they answer zero, the rules say: “It is recommended that the patient be sent for counselling with a medical psychologist with the aim of developing a positive attitude towards the desire to have children.”

Men will not face the same questions as part of their medical history questionnaire.

The birth rate in Russia has reached historic lows of just 1.4 children per woman.

According to state statistics, there were 600,000 more deaths than births across the Kremlin in 2024.

The dictator is throwing everything at a desperate drive to breed more Russians.

He previously said that “the fate of Russia depends on how many of us there will be”, calling the huge push for more babies a “question of national importance”.

A range of measures have been implemented to boost Russia’s shockingly low birth rates.

Although abortion is still legal in Russia, in many regions, “incitement” to abortion is banned, Human Rights Watch reports.

At least 31 of Russia’s 83 federal subjects have introduced de facto full or partial bans on the procedure, according to The Insider.

And under the Kremlin’s harmful “Traditional Values” crusade, authorities have banned the “promotion” of a “child-free lifestyle.

Fines for violators range from as much as £3,075 for individuals to up to £3,835 for organizations, including media companies, publishing houses and streaming services.

Other aggressive policies to quell the falling birth rate include payouts for pregnant schoolgirls.

Schoolgirls will qualify if they are more than 12 weeks pregnant, under a policy signed into law by Putin-loyalist governor Andrey Klychkov.

University students are already eligible for the scheme in Oryol and some other regions.

There is also no minimum age for pregnant girls to receive the payment of 100,000 rubles – or £920.

In 2024, the dictator’s officials proposed a myriad of ideas to stop the plummeting birth rate.

One unbelievable proposal is to turn off the Internet – and even the lights – between 10pm and 2am to encourage couples to have sex.

Another bizarre idea was for Russians to start having sex at work.

The Kremlin was set to implement a sex-at-work scheme after too many citizens reportedly complained of not having enough time or energy for late night romps.

It will see staff allowed to get it on during their lunch and coffee breaks in peace.

Bosses have even been told to encourage all midday romps.

In 2022, Putin revived the Stalin-era “Mother Heroine” award for women who bore 10 or more children, as reported by The Telegraph.

Mothers were encouraged to birth at least 10 babies with the incentive of a £13,500 reward on their tenth child’s first birthday.
