What are the rules of the ceasefire between Trump and Iran?
US President Donald Trump announced a two-week temporary ceasefire with Iran on the condition that the rogue nation reopened the Strait of Hormuz.
He declared on Tuesday that the two-week pause in fighting would allow the nations to negotiate a long-term peace deal – but Iran broke the deal less than 24-hours later, shutting the shipping lane.

Iran said it was responding to Israel‘s attacks on Beirut and claimed that Lebanon was included in the ceasefire deal.

Why does Israel hate Hezbollah?
Hezbollah – or the Party of God – is an Iranian-backed militant group that emerged during the early 1980s.
It opposes Israel’s right to exist and is considered a terrorist organisation by Israel, the UK and the US, among other countries.
Based in Lebanon, it is allied with Hamas.
Israel has been locked in conflict with the militant group since Hezbollah launched rockets at IDF-held territory on the Lebanese-Syrian border the day after October 7.
