White has not been part of the England squad since exiting the 2022 World Cup in Qatar early for personal reasons.
He never explained the reasons for his departure and subsequently made himself unavailable for selection for the rest of Gareth Southgate’s time in charge.

England announced that Ben White left the World Cup camp and flew home early.
An FA statement confirmed: “Ben White has left England’s training base in Al Wakrah and returned home for personal reasons.
“The Arsenal defender is not expected to return to the squad for the remainder of the tournament.
“We ask that the player’s privacy is respected at this moment in time.”
