A VINTED seller has issued an urgent warning to other site users to avoid making a mistake that could lead to their accounts being restricted.
Laura has turned her passion for reselling into a profitable side hustle, and regularly shares tips and tricks on her TikTok page.
In a recent video, she explained that Vinted has introduced a “new restriction” which is “catching people out”.
“This is actually a brand new restriction,” Laura said.
“You never ever used to get a restriction for this, but now you do.
“Vinted are updating their rules – they are getting very, very hot on anyone mistreating the catalog rules.”

3 items to list on Vinted in February and these keywords are essential too
This involves things like re-uploading items to Vinted.
People often decide to re-upload listings when they haven’t sold, which Laura does herself – by making a new listing, copying over the titles, description and photos and perhaps making a “few tweaks” before uploading again.
“What people are doing, they are forgetting to delete the original listing,” she added.
“So they have got two of the same listings on their account.”
While Vinted previously used to send a message informing users that they’d duplicated a listing and “broken catalog rules”, before removing the listing in question.
“Now, what they are doing, you will get another message which is similar to this, which will basically say, we have restricted your account,” Laura explained.
The accounts are then restricted for “between two to three days”, which can mean missing out on “a lot of money” for a reseller.
While you can still browse and buy on Vinted, having a restricted account means you’re unable to list anything new.
“You never, ever, ever used to get restricted for this,” she said.
“I’m telling you now in 2026, Vinted are about to up the rules on all this sort of stuff.
“Them AI bots are going to work guys!”
“If you sell on Vinted, you need to be aware of this NEW restriction which is catching people out,” Laura wrote over the top of her TikTok.
