Travel chaos as huge fire erupts near London Euston station with ‘all lines blocked’

A FIRE is blazing near a major railway line and causing severe disruption to thousands of journeys.

The West Coast Main Line is blocked between London Euston and Watford Junction due to a fire in Camden, north London, according to National Rail Enquiries.

At 9.31am today, the London Fire Brigade was alerted that a fire had broken out at a single-storey commercial building.

They sent 10 fire engines and about 70 firefighters to the scene on Regent’s Park Road with a 32-metre turntable ladder to put water on the fire from above.

The Avanti West Coast, London Northwestern Railway, London Overground and Southern services have all been disrupted by the fire.

Avanti West Coast’s services to London are reportedly being held at stations as far as Warrington, Cheshire.

While smoke billows out from the train line, affected passengers have been told they are able to use their tickets on certain alternative routes.
