A carpenter turned financial influencer has decided to leave Australia ‘permanently’ due to violent crime, the high cost of living and crippling taxes.
The ex-tradie, who goes by Huddy online, shared a video last month detailing his move out from Down Under, though the influencer has so far been cagey about where he has chosen to relocate to.
‘I’ve officially left Australia and I don’t plan to come back because that country is f***ed,’ he claimed.
Huddy said that ‘one thing’ he did want to make clear is that it wasn’t because he ‘hates Australia’ but because ‘the country’s forced me to leave’.
The Gen Zer laid most of the blame for Australia’s struggles with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s government.
‘There’s so much bulls**t that’s going on right now,’ he said.
‘You’ve got mass immigration completely out of control, which is causing people to protest. There’s been a lot of assaults recently, a lot of stabbings in the news.
‘The Australian Government’s also f***ed, everyone hates Albanese, plus you get taxed on basically everything nowadays. I was getting taxed like 45 to 50 per cent of my fucking income.’
Huddy (pictured) revealed he has left Australia for good, pointing to failing government policies
The tradie also hit out at the state of the property market, which has priced out most young people, and general inflation.
‘The cost to live in Australia is completely cooked as well, it’s only becoming more and more impossible to afford a property.’
Huddy then shared a controversial piece of advice to his Australian viewers.
‘I think this country’s f***ed beyond repair and it’s only gonna get worse. It just didn’t make sense for me to stay,’ he said.
‘I’m lucky enough to be able to just work from my laptop and relocate, so it doesn’t really affect me. If you’re staying in Australia, I really do advise you to leave because it’s just not worth it anymore.’
Hundreds of commenters agreed with Huddy with some admitting they were also planning to move overseas.
‘Australia is our home, I’m not leaving. People need to stand up,’ one wrote.
‘Don’t come to Europe, it’s even worse here,’ another said.
‘Australia’s a joke now,’ a third added.
Huddy urged other Aussies to pack their bags and fly out of Australia as soon as they could
‘Finally someone is speaking common sense,’ another commenter said.
However, other commenters were quick to argue some pretty big flaws in Huddy’s reasoning.
‘Guy who hates immigrants in his own country becomes an immigrant in another country,’ one wrote.
‘No one pays 50 per cent tax,’ another said.
‘Everyone hates Albanese? That’s why he was re-elected in a landslide only months ago,’ another joked.
‘It’s always a chuckle when people say they’re leaving Australia because of immigration – yet they’re doing the very thing they believe is ruining Australia,’ another said.
‘You’ll be back. By the way, I like Albo,’ said one person.
‘If you’re paying 50 per cent tax then you have the worst accountant in Australia mate,’ another added.
Daily Mail has contacted Huddy for comment.
