A controversial reality TV star and ex of disgraced former prince Andrew has been slammed for a “tone deaf” comment revealing she was down to ‘her last 20 grand’.
The telly star is none other than Caroline Stanbury, known for appearing on The Real Housewives of Dubai and Ladies of London.
Caroline, 49, is British businesswoman with a string of rich and famous exes who is now married to retired Spanish footballer Sergio Carrallo.
She dated disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in 2000 after his divorce from Sarah Ferguson, the pair famously snapped on a private yacht in the luxury French celeb resort of St Tropez.
Caroline was also recently flagged by the FBI as a “female to talk to”, in released documents from the Epstein files.
But she has now come under fire for a shocking comment she made on her podcast.

Caroline’s podcast Uncut & Uncensored sees the TV personality dig into her ever evolving journey of living her best life after 40.
But, in a recent instalment Caroline left fans raging as she opened up on her finances.
She said: “I was down to my last 20 grand about four years ago. Barely, you know, had rent. I couldn’t pay anything and had to sell as much as I could you know to fund everything and start again.
” So I and you know my partner with all due respect, who I love dearly was 20 years younger. It’s not like he could bail out an entire family.
“So I didn’t have that nest.”
Caroline married her now husband Sergio, who is 19 years her junior, in Mauritius, back in 2021, due to the UAE not recognising interfaith marriages.
Fans were outraged by Caroline’s ridiculous comment on being down to her last “20 grand” as they highlighted the struggles of people “on this planet.”
One fan hit out saying: ” Down to my last 20k, mate try being down to your last tenner.”
Another listener said: ” 20k till the divorce pennies came in!!!!”
A third person added: “Down to my last 20 grand, hang on I’ll find my violin.”
Meanwhile, a fourth fan said: “Boo boo, I never [had] 20k.”
Fans of Caroline were convinced the star wasn’t telling the full truth, claiming her ex husband Çem Habib was a billionaire and her family were also quite wealthy.
Caroline seems to have no shortage of work as she has also appeared on this season of The Traitors US albeit lasting just four episodes.
Controversial Caroline has recently been in the spotlight following the new release of Epstein files.
An exchange of emails in 2019 showed FBI agents based in New York identified her by her former married name, Caroline Habib, as they mapped out Jeffrey Epstein’s social web.
The documents suggest investigators carried out a background check and shared records such as her passport details.
A message dated September 16 named Caroline reads: “Additional females to talk to.”
There is no suggestion of any wrongdoing by London born Caroline, who dated Andrew between 2000 and 2001.
A source said of her society party days: “Caroline has always been incredibly discreet about that period of her life.
“She’s happy to talk about almost anything on camera but Andrew is one subject she’s consistently kept tight-lipped on.”
