The Golden Bachelor beauty left devastated after Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden takes her on VERY romantic ballet date – then rejects her

A contestant was left heartbroken during Sunday night’s shock episode of The Golden Bachelor, after Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden rejected her following a very romantic date.

Transformation coach Jan Herdman, 66, was personally chosen by Bear, 61, to attend a romantic ballet performance with him at the Sydney Opera House, where they had a heart-to-heart discussion about their past loves.

The pair were seen bonding and cuddling as they watched a private ballet performance, as Jan later poured her heart out to an understanding Bear.

‘How come I have been single for so long? I was badly burned, there was infidelity. He couldn’t understand why he couldn’t have both her and I,’ an emotional Jan confided to Bear.

‘Really? That must have been tough,’ Bear replied, as they snuggled on a couch – and Jan later told producers she thought they had a real connection.

‘I believe we had a connection and I’m hoping we can build on that,’ an excited Jan told producers.

Unfortunately for Jan, while Bear felt a connection with her, he felt a stronger one with three of the other women, which led to her elimination at the end of the episode.

Bear admitted he felt a stronger connection with Sunny, Kim and Janette, leaving no room for a heartbroken Jan.

‘This is so hard, I so absolutely loved the ballet and jumping into everything feet first,’ Bear told a devastated Jan as he said goodbye to her.

‘I wanted a rose tonight, I wanted to continue the journey. But I am really proud that I put myself in a position where I was vulnerable,’ Jan later admitted.

‘It’s been a growing process for me. I definitely deserve love and I know that.’

It comes after a new report alleged that Myrden was engaged to another woman following the death of his wife Audrey despite claims he remained single.

The reality TV star has been portrayed on the dating series as having been single for 14 years after Audrey’s death.

However, Bear has reportedly had two significant relationships following Audrey’s death in 2012 – and was even engaged to one of the women, Woman’s Day claimed on Monday.

‘Bear was in a six-year relationship with his ex-fiancée… and then had a two-year relationship with another woman after that,’ an insider told the magazine.

However, at least one of the relationships is said to have ended on bad terms, resulting in the woman posting Bear’s photo onto the Sis, Is This Your Man? Facebook group, in which users warn each other about men with dating ‘red flags’.

At the beginning of Monday’s episode, Bear was introduced to viewers as a father of three boys – Charlie, 21, Jack, 20, and Declan, 17 – who had emigrated from Canada to Australia with Audrey two decades ago.

Bear then revealed that tragically, his wife was diagnosed with a ‘brain tumour which turned the family’s world upside down.’

‘Audrey was more than one in a million; she was one in six billion,’ he said.
