The brother of a prominent property developer who was allegedly kidnapped outside his home by an underworld gang has been returned safely.
George Ayoub, the brother of Masscon Property founder Charlie Ayoub, was allegedly kidnapped while leaving his Belfield home in Sydney’s south-west about 6am last Thursday.
Ransom demands were made to his family while he was held captive over the weekend.
Reformed gangster Peter Vaiusu took to social media hours just the alleged abduction pleading for Mr Ayoub’s release and offering $80,000 worth of gold.
‘He got kidnapped this morning, he has never been in trouble in his life, never had a criminal record, never been involved with gangs,’ he explained.
‘But they nabbed him this morning because his brother, Charlie, has a little bit of money.’
‘To the gang that nabbed him, I’m asking you, please, let him go.’
‘I’ve lived the life, I’ve been charged with kidnapping myself – other gangsters – so I know how it works,’ he said.
‘All I’m asking for is a bit of compassion… At this point, right now, it’s all about the Ayoub family.
Following the kidnapping, reformed gangster Peter Vaiusu took to social media, calling for Ayoub’s release and offering $80,000 worth of gold

‘This guy is not a gangster.’
NSW Police said on Monday morning that they had recovered Ayoub alive.
Police had asked media not to release details of the kidnapping last week, fearing publicity might cause harm to Ayoub.
