SNOOP DOGG dropped jaws at Swansea City by breaking into a rapping performance before showing off some of his own football skills.
The US megastar rapper has sent the city into a frenzy since arriving in South Wales ahead of the Championship game against Preston.
Already in 24 hours he has:
– Wowed staff with an impromptu performance of one of his hits, Drop It Like It’s Hot, in the kit room.
– Had players and staff in fits of laughter after lacing up some boots he borrowed to try out some football skills.
– Bought a load of tickets for the game and handed them out to the local charities.

And today the club posted a video of the rapper showing off one of the thousands of tea towels they will be handing out to fans — and demonstrating how they must wave them in the air at the game.
Snoop first dropped into the club’s training ground and gave everyone he saw in reception high fives.
And he went on to meet everyone, from manager Vitor Matos and the players to the kitman and laundry lady.
The American rapper had a special personalised Swansea shirt pressed with Snoop Dogg on the back of it.
And then he stunned staff in the kit room as he started rapping.
Kitman and lifelong fan Chris Eames told SunSport: “We were printing a shirt with his name on because he wanted to wear it to the game.
“And when you press a name on the back of a shirt it takes a few moments for it to stick — and he said to us, ‘What should we do while we wait? Should we rap?’
“Then suddenly he started singing Drop It Like It’s Hot and we came in on the chorus a little bit.
“Someone filmed it so that’ll be all over the web soon.
“Then he went up to the canteen and met the chef followed by visiting the laundry room to meet the laundry lady.
“Snoop couldn’t resist going out on the pitch with some of the lads. He borrowed a few of the players’ boots for a kickabout.
“I’m not going to comment too much on his skills though only to say I don’t think he should give up rapping for football!
“The boys had a group photo after training, had some food and left. He was brilliant and just brought a huge positive energy around the place.
Live performance in Swansea
“I told my wife about the day and even she’s starstruck despite not even meeting him.”
Last night he performed a private show at VIP club lounge sponsors AU Vodka’s HQ in Swansea.
Revellers were seen dancing around in front of Snoop as he played a set.
Snoop Dogg came on board in the summer along with Real Madrid and Croatia legend Luka Modric as minority stakeholders.
Wrexham attracted so much media and global attention when Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over the club five years ago.
And they have taken the club from the National League backwaters to competing for a place in the Premier League with three successive promotions.
Their Welsh rivals in the south spent seven seasons in the Premier League, and had one year in the Europa League after winning the League Cup — but this is their seventh season back in the Championship.
Swans chief executive Tom Gorringe told SunSport that teams of their size have to be innovative in how they compete against biggest clubs — and follow the lead of Wrexham and Birmingham, who have NFL legend Tom Brady as a stakeholder
He said: “Our turnover is one of the lowest in the Championship.
“We’ve got a hugely passionate local fan base with decent attendances and good support from sponsors.
Love for the city
“But that can only get you so far. Profit and sustainability rules now focus on generating your own income rather than be bankrolled by a wealthy benefactor.
“The reality is Wrexham’s commercial revenue when they were in League Two was £20million. Last year, ours was £2.6m.
“That shows you the gap we’ve got to try to close.”
Gorringe also believes that having a colourful character such as Snoop Dogg is exactly what the game needs.
He said: “Football is media training everyone within an inch of their lives so all you get is vanilla answers.
“Everyone of a certain age remembers characters back in the day like Paul Gascoigne, people with real personalities. We want to do things properly but also have fun along the way and be something that resonates with people across the world.”
The rapper — real name Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr — is a keen football fan and sees Swansea as an underdog with a predominantly working-class background, something that resonates with his own upbringing.
He said: “My love of football is well known, but it feels special to me that I make my move into club ownership with Swansea City.
“The story of the club and the area really struck a chord with me. This is a proud, working-class city and club. An underdog that bites back, just like me. I’m proud to be part of Swansea City. I am going to do all I can to help the club.”
