Sir Alex Ferguson’s horse Kalif Du Berlais dies in tragic fall at Kempton as Paul Nicholl’s team is rocked

A horse part-owned by legendary ex-Man United boss Sir Alex Ferguson has died during a race at Kempton.

Stable star Kalif Du Berlais sadly died after a fall during the Grade Two Coral Silviniaco Conti Chase, hitting the fence on his way down.

The six-year-old unseated jockey Harry Cobdean in the final stages of the race and is the second horse death of the day at Kempton.
