SERIAL killer Rose West has won back her jail privileges despite sexually assaulting a fellow lag — after bosses refused to call in police.
The lifer had her benefits removed last month after a panel found her guilty.
We reported how depraved West, 72, is said to have groomed and taken advantage of her “vulnerable” victim, in her 20s.
But justice chiefs opted not to refer the assault to police.
West has now had allowances, including TV and DVD access, restored.
It is believed that her behaviour was monitored for 28 days before she was lifted from the punitive “basic” regime to “standard”.

A source said her soft treatment has angered other lags at New Hall Prison, West Yorks.
They revealed: “It is like she has been let off — especially with police not being involved.
“There is not much they can do because she is already in jail — but they would normally be called in over a sexual assault.
“She’s had some punishment, but because she’s behaved for a few weeks her life’s getting back to normal. It is sickening.
“It has enraged other inmates who know she is spending hours in her cell watching nature documentaries so soon after the attack.”
West was jailed for life in 1995 for murdering ten girls and women with husband Fred in Gloucester.
The Prison Service said: “A prisoner has been sanctioned following an incident at New Hall.”
