THIS is the incredible moment Scotland’s “best boss” gifts her staff a plush £13,000 holiday to Marbella.

The mum is celebrating her firm’s best year yet, with revenue set to hit £6m, and insists it wouldn’t be possible without her hardworking team.

So she “wanted to do something special” to show just how much she appreciates them.

This led to the cosmetics boss sneakily planning a four-day break at a £10m villa in the Spanish city for 10 of her employees.

To keep it a surprise, Gill got her team to agree to work overtime for the weekend to make sure they would all be free.

As well as team building and strategising, the staff will be treated to massages, a boat trip and beach club day out.

Gill told us: “Everybody works so hard and they have gone over and above.

“We do our figures every Sunday and the numbers were just going up and up and up.

“The girls were so excited. They were never asking for anything. And I just thought we need to do something that’s not work related.”

She added: “When you give someone a financial bonus, you get taxed on it and everything else.

“So I thought, let’s do something where we get to go and celebrate. We get to have the time together. We get absolute luxury, as well as some training and development. This is what I’m going to do.”

She admitted it was the “hardest secret” she’s ever kept but insists the surprise was “absolutely worth it”.

Gill splashed out £10,000 on the luxurious Marbella villa for April 17-20, a further £2,500 on flights and £1,300 on luggage.

She gathered her team into one room and handed them golden ticket scratch cards to reveal the incredible surprise.

In the heartwarming video, which has racked up 20,000 views, her stunned staff can be heard exclaiming “no way” as the secret is exposed.

It’s not the first time Gill has gone above and beyond to reward staff for their dedication.

We told earlier how she gifted three workers £13,500 worth of cosmetic surgery for free in the lead up to Christmas.

This month, for two staff members who can’t make the Marbella trip, Gill is gifting them an upper blepharoplasty and boob job.

Her acts of generosity have sparked a flurry of praise and pleas for a job from people on social media.

One gushed: “You’re the best Gill, have the best time.”

A second wrote: “Is there a vacancy going? Honestly will clean the toilets at this point. Have an amazing trip.”

“Why am I crying?! What a lovely place to work”, said a third.

A fourth insisted: “You are just theeee best boss on the planet.”

A fifth echoed: “Gill, you are such a kind lady. Your team are so lucky to have you as their boss.”

Meanwhile, a sixth added: “Look after your staff they will always strive to do their best for you- amazing gift – Enjoy ladies.”

And somebody could be lucky enough to join Gill’s team as the cosmetics boss is currently looking for an anaesthetist assistant at her Livingston base.

She said: “I just put a [recruitment] post out on Thursday last week.

“I put it out on my TikTok. It’s ended up with 40,000 views and it’s resulted in 173 applications.

“But I still don’t have what I’m looking for. So I’m actually waving a golden ticket and whoever brings me an ODP, you’re going to be a happy lassie.”

Huge success

Gill’s multi-million pound firm is set to post record profits in its tenth year.

The cosmetic surgery business, which is the UK’s only independent female founded hospital established in 2016, is forecasting £6 million in revenue and £1.4 million profit for the current financial year.

The milestone comes at the end of a defining year for the business, which reported turnover of £4.7 million for the year to March 2025, down from £5.1 million in 2024.

The recovery follows a £1.2 million drop in bariatric surgery revenue last year which was driven by the rapid rise in weight-loss medications – forcing the business to refocus on higher-margin plastic and reconstructive procedures.

Founder Gill Baird took direct control of the business during this period, leading a full operational restructure, renegotiating supplier contracts, improving theatre utilisation and repositioning the company’s clinical offering.

As a result, Cosmedicare has delivered an 8 per cent increase in gross profit margins, equivalent to approximately £400,000, alongside improved efficiency and stronger patient conversion.

Commenting on the milestone, Gill Baird, founder and MD of Cosmedicare, said: “Reaching ten years in business is a huge moment for us, but what matters more is how we’ve got here.

“The last year has been one of the most challenging we’ve faced, but it’s also been the most important in shaping the future of Cosmedicare.

“We made some difficult decisions, refocused the business and doubled down on what we do best – safe, consultant-led surgery with strong clinical governance.

“That clarity has put us back on a strong financial footing and given us confidence to invest in the next phase of growth.”

The business now employs 31 staff across its Livingston and Glasgow hospitals and delivers a range of services including cosmetic, reconstructive and gender-affirming surgery, orthopaedics and private GP care.

And Gill has recently secured planning approval from West Lothian Council for a hospital expansion in Livingston.

The approved development will see the erection of a new 10,000 sq. ft two-storey extension at St Ellen’s Hospital on the Kirkton Campus, designed to increase surgical capacity and support the delivery of more complex procedures.

Gill said: “This next phase is about scaling responsibly. We’re not chasing growth for the sake of it, we’re building capacity in areas where there is real patient need and where we can maintain the highest standards of care.

“The opportunity for private healthcare in Scotland is significant, but it must be done properly. Our focus is on sustainable growth, strong governance and delivering the kind of service patients can trust.”
