Inside is a selection of sugary desserts, including crispy Belgian Chocolate Nests, millionaire squares, brownie bites, chocolate eggs and other sweets.

Priced at £10 for 550 grams, the tin is one of the many seasonal treats on supermarket shelves at the moment.

By Studio Bakery – the masterminds behind the viral 24-layer Matilda cake – the product has garnered a lot of attention on social media.

“Good to see a tin that actually feels full for once,” Daniel Chubb wrote on Facebook, posting a photo of the goodies.

“Matilda Bites & Bobs Easter tin from Tesco, filled right to the brim with brownies, cake bites, sweets and chocolate treats.”

With less than two months to go to the Easter Bank Holidays, his post has attracted hundreds of comments.

One wrote: “That’s like something your granny pulls out the cabinet asking do you want a sweet treat.”

Nice idea, need to know before I buy though, do all the flavours mingle together and everything taste the same?” another said.

At £10, some shoppers argued that the tin is a bit too “expensive”, while others said it “looks like someone has tipped the table of leftovers from a kid’s party into a tin.”

But there was an overall nod of approval, with one person summing it up: “It is a really nice alternative to Easter eggs, we found the brownies needed eating quick as after a day or two felt a bit dry but as a whole it was really tasty and fun.”

Easter remains one of the biggest dates on the confectionery calendar.

Just days ago, The Sun reported on another “super tasty” Easter chocolate option, which is a twist on a timeless classic.
