A PLANE carrying 13 people including a congressman has gone missing in Colombia – with emergency services launching a desperate search for the jet.
Authorities have lost all communication with Satena Airlines Flight HK4709 which had two crew onboard, Colombia’s Transport Ministry said.
Diógenes Quintero, a member of Colombia’s House of Representatives, is reportedly onboard the missing flight.
Satena Airlines said “all available resources” have been deployed to find the aircraft, with the government also aiding the search.
Colombia’s Minister of Transport Mafe Rojas said on X: “We are gathering information regarding the loss of communication with aircraft HK4709, which was flying the Cúcuta-Ocaña route with 13 passengers and 2 crew members.”
The jet is understood to be a smaller aircraft, specifically a Beechcraft 1900.
