PETER Kay was spotted chowing down a tasty bacon bap after revealing the battle behind his weight loss.
The much-loved comedian, famed for his “garlic bread” catchphrase, switched up his snack of choice for another carb-based treat as he stepped out on home turf in Bolton.
The Phoenix Nights star, 52, showed off his slimmed-down look in an all-black outfit, paired with a matching baseball cap.
He was seen clutching a green paper bag filled with goodies from a local eatery, but seemingly couldn’t wait to tuck into his piping hot butty.
As he walked through the car park, he pulled out his treat on his rare afternoon off and began munching away.
One Lancashire local was quick to remark on his down-to-earth nature and said: “He’s touring arenas — but still eats like the rest of us!”

WEIGHT LOSS MISSION
Peter recently opened up about his weight loss, which has been the subject of speculation in recent years.
In a rare interview At an In Conversation With . . . event hosted by Sara Cox at The Lowry theatre in Salford, he spoke about his battle with his body over the years.
Asked directly if he had ever tried to lose weight, the 52-year-old comedian said: “Only for the first 48 years of my life. Yeah I had to, eventually, because you start thinking about your health and things like that, don’t you?
“I tried everything. Good God in heaven. I mean, you go to flaming weight-loss groups and stuff like that.
“I joined Slimming World and WeightWatchers. I did all of them.”
He also recalled trying his mum’s Rosemary Connolly fitness videos, but failing to keep up, and sneaking out for a sausage roll in the middle of a cinema screening.
He later signed up to a David Lloyd gym in his hometown of Bolton, however said this was short lived too – because of “men just talking to you naked”.

During the chat with BBC Radio 2 DJ Sara Cox, he also talked about his latest stand up tour and how proceeds from Better Late Than Never are being donated to 12 cancer charities.
