The women, travelling together by rail, stunned fellow passengers as they unpacked bag after bag of snacks and drinks they’d come prepared with.

Footage captures them pulling everything from instant cappuccinos and sandwiches to wine gums and multiple mini booze bottles.

Emily Anderson, who posts to her 7,600 Instagram followers under @silent_disco_hereford, shared the hilarious clip online.

The group reveal their bumper haul including four mini bottles of prosecco and multiple gin and tonic cans, and just one lonely bottle of water.

At one point, one woman jokes: “We’re only on the train for an hour and 45 minutes!”

Another can be heard asking: “Why do we need instant coffee?”

Fellow passengers were stunned as the banquet piled up on the table in front of them.

Even the sweets got a boozy twist, with one woman suggesting the wine gums could be used to “flavour your drinks”.

As the feast continued to grow, another laughed: “I’m exhausted. Right, put it all back in the bag now.”

Viewers were quick to react, with many dubbing the group “legends”.

One person who saw the clip on social media joked: “I see my future and it’s bright.”

Another chimed in, describing this group of lively pensioners as “the only train companions I want.”

Their experience mirrors one of the UK’s poshest train trips, which lets passengers enjoy champagne and six course dinners.

The Northern Belle imitates the luxury of the 1930s while travelling through the UK countryside.

Onboard are seven carriages, each named after a British castle or stately home.

Dubbed “Britain’s Most Luxurious Train” on the website, it offers a champagne reception, along with caviar and blinis.

Fortnum and Mason tea is also available, as well as a cheeseboard with port.

It travels around the UK, with departures including London Victoria, Manchester, Leeds and Liverpool among others.
