Mopping the kitchen floor was one of my least favourite chores, but I’m now fully converted to steam mops.

Since reviewing the Shark steam and Scrub mop, I can vouch for how much easier it is than using a traditional mop, but at £159.99, I’ve been searching for a cheaper alternative.

The £39 Shark Steam Mop is a highly-rated option for hard floors – from tile and laminate to stone.

It has a 375ml water tank, and the steam is activated with a manual pump action.

Taking just 30 seconds to heat up, the process is quick and easy, and the steam avoids excessive water while also helping to sanitise the floors.

The microfibre cleaning pads are also quick-drying and machine-washable so it’s easy to start afresh each time you clean.
