A GRANDAD has died after being found unconscious in a park – with a 33-year-old man arrested for murder.
James McKeown – known as Jimmy and Spider – was rushed to hospital after being found in Beaumont Leys Park in Leicestershire on Monday evening.
Jimmy, 62, was discovered at around 6.20pm “after an incident”, according to police.
In a tribute, his family said: “To say that the events of yesterday evening have changed our lives forever is an understatement. We have lost a loving father, brother, partner and grandfather, our lives will never be the same again.
“Jimmy has lived locally for nearly 20 years and was well known in the community, affectionately known to many as Spider.
“We would ask that people respect our privacy and give us the time to come to terms with what has happened.”
