The mum-of-two explained how she was minding her own business and catching up with a good friend about nurseries during a recent trip to M&S.

She told how she doesn’t like holding the phone next to her ear, so was holding in on speaker – adding that it was “loud enough” so she could hear but it “wasn’t on full volume.”

Montana went onto explain that she could see in her peripheral vision that an older lady appeared to be following her.

“I was thinking, is she okay? What’s going on? Initially, I was like, do we know each other?” the 30-year-old said.

“And then she just kind of goes, ‘use your ears.’ And I was like, what? I’m so sorry, what?”

Confused, the reality star told the women she didn’t understand what she was talking about, to which the shopper responded: “You need to use your AirPods for your ears, because not all of us want to hear your conversation.”

Montana continued: “I was like, ‘I don’t get why you’re that bothered. You’re just following me around the supermarket,’ actually quite frankly eavesdropping.”

The mum-of-two then asked the woman if she could just not let it bother her because she was simply chatting to a friend.

She added: “To be honest, I gave it zero of my energy because I had zero energy to be battling this old woman over my phone conversation.

“I was just delighted to speak to my friend for 20 minutes when she wasn’t with her babies and I wasn’t with my babies.”

After sharing her recent experience, Montana then went on to ask other people’s thoughts on the matter – and they had a lot to say.

The video racked up a whopping 53k views, with some agreeing with the older woman that Montana was in the wrong.

“In public it’s bad manners,” one person argued.

Meanwhile, a fourth added: “I agree nobody needs to know your business.”

Elsewhere, others agreed with Montana.

“How is it any different from having a conversation with someone right next to you?” a social media user penned.

“I also don’t want to have a phone up against my face and ear, I won’t be obnoxious with it and only have it on a volume I can hear and will speak in lower tone, but like, It would be louder if the person was right next to me so why are people so bothered. MIND YA OWN BUSINESS.”

Another wrote: “I’m a big loudspeaker stan, this is no different really to if your friend was there physically and you were shopping & having a conversation!”
