Man Utd hero, 39, shines on debut for Kazakhstan club then instantly wins over fans with chant

A MANCHESTER UNITED hero is already a fans’ favourite at his latest club after shining on his debut in KAZAKHSTAN.

The 39-year-old played for the Old Trafford outfit for seven years between 2007 and 2014 during a highly successful spell in the club’s history.

During that seven-year stint at the Red Devils he won four Premier League crowns as well as tasting Champions League glory.

He scored 41 goals and 65 assists across 230 appearances, more than playing his part in the trophy success.

Now, after coming out of retirement to pull his boots back at Aktobe, he is making waves at the other side of the world.

The Portugal legend was brought on for the final 20 minutes of the thumping 4-1 win over Tobol and had an instant impact.

He had only been on the park THREE MINUTES when he was on hand to tee up his team-mate to slam home Aktobe’s fourth goal.

After the match, he then celebrated his maiden appearance by saluting the fans.

A video shows him interacting with the home support as he performs a chant.

It starts with him shouting “Ziga” as they then reply.

He then breaks into full voice with the passionate fans joining in with their new hero as they chant “Ziga-zaga hey.”

Nani was sporting a huge grin before jumping away and clapping, then hugging a colleague.

The victory got Aktobe up and running in the new Kazakhstan top flight season with a win in front of their own support.

Next up is a trip to face Kairat Almaty – a name both Arsenal and Celtic fans will be very familiar with.
