Man fighting for his life after being ‘stabbed on busy street’ in broad daylight attack as three arrested

A MAN is fighting for his life after being stabbed in the street as cops arrest three people.

The victim, believed to be in his 30s, was allegedly attacked in a Bradford village at around 9.56am today.

It is understood the horror unfolded at the junction of Main Street and Iron Row, in Burley-in-Wharfedale.

Paramedics rushed a man, who was found with a stab wound, to hospital in critical condition.

West Yorkshire Police have since arrested a man, 30, on suspicion of attempted murder.

The force also detained two women, both aged 23, on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

All four suspects remain in custody for questioning.

Officers are still at the scene this evening, and a cordon remains in place while investigations continue.

West Yorks., Police have launched an urgent appeal for more information.

DCI Michael Cox said: “Multiple police inquiries are ongoing today into what has clearly been a very serious assault on a victim in Burley and Wharfedale.

“We realise this incident will cause concern locally, but I want to assure residents we do think this incident was isolated and targeted, and that we have all necessary resources in the area to investigate what took place.

“Police activity will continue at locations throughout the day, and we are appealing for witnesses.

“Anyone who saw suspicious activity in the Main Steet area near Iron Row earlier this morning is asked to contact Bradford CID on 101 or online at https://www.westyorkshire.police.uk/livechat .
