LUCINDA STRAFFORD’S Love Island ex Mert Okatan has opened up on his All Stars stint after ‘confirming’ he was jetting to South Africa.
The Turkish star previously revealed he was going into the villa but now the truth has been confirmed.
He shared a Instagram reel which showcased all of the news articles that reported on him entering the villa.
Mert then appears to wake up from a dream as he answers a call and says: “What do you think man? That I would go back to that s**t ass villa with these clowns over there.”
He then spoke directly to the camera and explained that it was just a fake stunt and he was just trying to promote his Love Island reviews on his Snapchat.
The reality star captioned the post: “WORD IS OUT. The internet went crazy… You really thought I was going back in the villa?

“The real chaos starts NOW. Love Island reviews are BACK,” he said as he encouraged his followers to add him on Snapchat.
His followers were left disappointed as one commented: “Got me watching this damn season for nothing. Literally started yesterday cause I thought you were for real.”
Another person penned: “I’m madddd asfff I only started watching cause I thought you were going.”
A third added: “Aww no I wanted you to go on it, it would cause chaos.”
On Friday, he claimed he was jetting off to South Africa to confront his ex, with a photo of himself seemingly being announced as a bombshell.
Taking to Instagram, Mert could be seen topless and rocking some bright green shorts.
With Love Island All Stars branding splashed across the photo, it also read “Bombshell Alert” complete with his name “Mert”.
“SPECIAL DELIVERY FROM TOMORROW BACK ON YOUR SCREENS,” he penned in the caption.
Fans went wild, with one writing: “OHHH BOYYY LUCINDAS IN TROUBLE. THIS IS GONNA BE GOODDD.”
And another saying: “This is GREAT TV.”
He then shared a story of the view from his plane window, writing: “The chaos starts tomorrow.”
However, ITV insiders told The Sun that Mert was NOT going into the villa and the bombshell post he shared on his page is was in fact a doctored image.
Lucinda and Mert met last year on Love Island Games but before their romantic connection could continue, he was sent packing.
She went on to win the show with Isaiah Campbell, before going on dates with Mert after coming out of the villa.
Last week, Mert broke his silence on Lucinda’s antics in the All Stars villa after a man-stealing incident involving Samie Elishi and Ciaran Davies.
He commented on an Instagram post about the incident, saying: “Feel bad for Samie button.
“And Ciaran tbh,” he added in another comment.
A fan then replied: “Glad you got rid of Lucinda.” While another added: “Agree, go in for Samie bro.”
Love Island: All Stars continues on Sunday night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
