LINDSEY VONN has revealed that she received a private letter from Prince Williams after her horror injury at the Winter Olympics.
The American skier was left screaming in agony after crashing moments into her Downhill run at Milano-Cortina.
Vonn, 41, was left with a broken ankle and a snapped fibula in her left leg.
The star has undergone multiple surgeries to repair the extensive damage caused to her leg.
She finally returned home from Milan-Cortina on March 1 – a month after the crash.
After getting back to Park City, Utah she was flooded with letters praising her.

Vonn revealed to Vanity Fair that she had messages from sporting icons such as David Beckham, Tom Brady and Jannick Skinner.
She also told how she even got a letter from Prince William hailing her resilience.
He wrote: “The way you wrote about stepping into the starting gate with courage and no regrets says so much about your resilience.”
Vonn insisted that the message that carried the most meaning for her was actually from broadcaster Diane Sawyer.

She wrote: “You can’t have courage and comfort at the same time.”
As a result of the multiple surgeries, Vonn’s future as a competitive skier is under serious threat.
She has admitted that it is not easy to know if there is a potential return to the slopes on the horizon.
However, Vonn did hint that she could be back by saying it was a bad run to end on.
She said: “It’s hard to tell with this injury. It’s so f***ed up.
“I really feel like that was a horrible last run to end my career on.”
Vonn was suffering from an ACL problem ahead of the race in Italy.
She was airlifted from the mountain with TV cameras beaming the faces of shocked watching fans to the world.
She added: “I don’t want people to hang on this crash and be remembered for that.”
