US LECCE have provided an update on Lameck Banda after the winger collapsed during a Serie A match on Saturday.
Banda, 25, was entering the final four minutes of his side’s match against Napoli when his side won a free kick in a dangerous area.
Lecce were 2-1 down against the European giants, thanks in part to a goal from Manchester United flop Rasmus Hojlund.
But as Banda’s team-mates got in position to attack the set piece, Banda dropped to the floor in a terrifying moment.
Medical staff rushed to aid the Zambia international, treating him on the pitch for a number of minutes.
He was eventually transported off the field via a buggy and into a waiting ambulance.

They revealed the star was not only recovering well, but he had already been released from hospital.

The statement read: “Footballer Lameck Banda was discharged this morning from Cardarelli Hospital after a series of tests that yielded negative results.”
