JESS Wright has recalled the shocking moment her sister Natalya was told she was “too fat” to model – despite having a tiny 25cm waist.
The former Towie star opened up about the cruel comment, admitting the remark left the family stunned and highlighting the harsh realities of the fashion industry.
Jess revealed the comment came early on in Natalya’s modelling career, when she was still trying to break into the industry.
Despite her petite frame and tiny waist measurement, she was seen as one of the “bigger models” at the time and was told to lose half a stone.
Jess said the remark left her sister devastated, admitting it was hard to believe anyone could label her “too fat” given how slim she was.
Speaking on the Wright At Home podcast with Jess, Natalya and Carol Wright, the family exposed the unrealistic and often damaging standards models are expected to meet.

Carol revealed: “I took you to a modelling agency. I’ll never forget we went through quite a bad time then as well because you were so slim, but they said you needed to lose another half a stone.”
Natalya continued: “I know they used to kinda look at me as one of the bigger models.”
Jess chimed in saying: “Mental. I rang mummy and I said pull her out now.”
Natalya added: “We used to have to measure my waist cause they used to say they wanted me at 24cm, and I think I was always 26/25cm.
“I’m a tall girl, and I have more of a like straight shape… I just woke up and thought this isn’t me.”
Shocked fans took to the comment section to praise Natalya for walking away from the industry.
One wrote: “I’m so glad you walked away rather than conform.”
Another added: “Shocking! Natalia is a natural beauty.”
A third penned: “Thank goodness you said no! The modelling world is so cutthroat and it’s quite worrying as the girls need to be so tiny good podcast ladies!”

Meanwhile, Jess has also revealed that she and her husband are trying for a second baby.
The Towie legend, 40, shares a son called Presley with her husband William Lee-Kemp.
The topic came up when a 36-year-old viewer was asking whether they were getting “too old” to have kids with their partner.
Jess piped in to reassure the lady that there was still time left for her to have children.
She said: “And honestly, don’t be too scared about being 36.
“I’m 40 and I do plan on having another child hopefully at some point.
“And hopefully, touch wood, I won’t have any… [complications].”
She continued to note about how more people are having children in their 40’s nowadays, saying: “People are having kids nowadays at 45, 46.”
The other women agreed, saying it’s more than possible.
