ARSENAL star Eberechi Eze says his wife working as an ICU nurse has given him a “reality check” about the pressure of chasing trophies.
Eze, who moved to the Emirates lastsummer from Crystal Palace as part of a deal worth an initial £60million, is pursuing an unlikely Quad with Arsenal.

The spotlight is on the Gunners to deliver because they last lifted silverware under Mikel Arteta in 2020.
And Eze has explained how his wife, Naima Corbin, keeps him grounded due to the pressure she is under with her job.
The midfielder said: “I come home and I’m thinking about X, Y and Z.
“And then I get a reality check with my wife, she works in an ICU.

“Honestly, I love that part of my life so much. It just humbles you.
“I will still watch a lot of football at home, because I love it so much, but there will also be times when you need to be completely separate from it, which is good.
“Without knowing it you are able to bring everything down a bit, and lower your sensitivity to everything.”

Eze has had a mixed start to life at Arsenal after making the move across London.
The England playmaker scored a hat-trick in the North London derby in November, but he has struggled for minutes recently.
The midfielder has admitted it has taken time to adapt to a new style of football under Arteta.
Eze said: “There’s a lot of detail that goes into how we approach a game and prepare for a game and it’s been a lot more than what I’m used to.
“So that took some adjusting, but you can see how prepared you have to be in order to be ready at this level.
“So it’s definitely something that’s necessary but something that maybe took a bit of time to adjust to.
“Normally, it’s done as a group, in bigger meetings. It’s just a lot of detail and a deep understanding of the game.”
