Sharing the heartbreaking news on Instagram, his family wrote: “Damiano is free from everything he experienced.

“A part of us has flown away forever.”

The content creator first revealed he had been diagnosed with a malignant tumour on his leg back in May 2023.

Alberti shared his treatment plan with his concerned followers and continued to be open about his struggle with the illness.

He uploaded a YouTube video titled “365 Days Later – The Story of My Illness” the following March.

In the frank video, the content creator opened up about his chemotherapy treatments and how he had learned that he had cancer.

A follow-up video in September 2025 updated fans on his journey with the debilitating disease.

He shared that he had struggled with his mental health as doctors gave him demoralising updates about the disease’s progression.

“I had become, let’s say, a morbid person with no goal, nothing of my own to pursue,” he shared candidly.

Just five months ago, Alberti – who regularly streamed his cancer treatment on Twitch – said that he would be taking a break from creating content.

“Unfortunately I find myself having to make this post because in the coming days I’ll be hospitalized and therefore I won’t be able to do live streams, something I’ve recently been doing with a lot of commitment and dedication,” he shared via Instagram.

“I’m making this post because I want to clarify that this break is forced for me and that I have all the desire in the world to keep making and creating content.

“In the coming days, videos will still be posted on my profiles, but since I’ll be in the hospital, I won’t be able to go live on Twitch.

“I can’t wait to come back.”

And the influencer shared another update when he was discharged just days later.

“It’s never easy to go through moments like this past week, and you never really get used to it,” he wrote.

“But this is also part of my life, and it has to be accepted.

“I left the hospital without being able to complain too much about the results, but now that’s in the past!

“It’s time to get back on track and always look ahead!

“THANK YOU for the support I’ve received during this period — now we start again.”

Fans took to his social media pages to share their grief after his death was announced.

“This makes me so sad, I wish it were not true,” one wrote.
