I’m aging backwards thanks to my homemade moisturiser

JOY has been making her own moisturiser since she was 18 years old.

Now aged 70, she still swears by her homemade anti-aging concoction that takes 20 years off her face.

Joy, the glowing face behind PureJoy Collection, let her 11k followers on her @purejoystyle TikTok in on a little secret.

She said, “So I’ve been making my own moisturizer since I was 18 years old, and I turned 70 two weeks ago.

“The thing that inspired me was I met this old lady who had the most gorgeous skin, and I said to her, what do you use on your skin?

“And she said all I’ve ever used is glycerine, and so therefore I started to experiment with glycerine.”

Whilst many followers flocked to the comment section to ask for tips on how to make the moisturiser, plenty couldn’t believe that she was 70 years old.

“70?!?As in 7×10?! ain’t NO WAY. You look amazing,” one gasped.

“You look good for it,” said another.

100% NATURAL

And a thid told her: “Your skin is absolutely beautiful.”

Joy explained that her moisturiser has just four ingredients: shea butter, glycerine, a little bit of castor oil, and a few drops of essential oil.

Glycerine is a clear, odorless liquid that is naturally found in plants and animal fats.

It’s non-toxic and attracts and holds water – and can often be found in most moisturising skincare products.

It can also be found in food and medicine as a sweetener – often labeled as E422.

Joy uses organic vegetable glycerine, and she keeps her moisturiser in the fridge.

You can buy glycerin from most pharmacies, and the best part is that this magical natural ingredient is affordable.

On Amazon, you can pick up a 250ml bottle for £6.99.

KEEP IT SIMPLE

Pamela Allyn is another 70-something who is often mistaken for far younger than her biological age.

In an exclusive interview with Fabulous, Pamela revealed: “People usually guess I’m in my 50s.

“They always ask for my secrets, and it’s quite straightforward—you just need to stay committed.”

Pamela, who has maintained a timeless appearance, credits her disciplined yet simple beauty routine for her youthful look.

“I only wash my face once a day at night, and in the morning, I just splash warm water on it,” says the retired school teacher of over 35 years.

“I’ve always used a basic facial soap similar to Neutrogena, followed by my favourite retinol lotion, specifically the ROC night cream.

“I apply it generously on my face, neck, and chest both morning and night, ensuring to cover areas under my eyes and around my mouth.”
