MUSIC legend Neil Sedaka has been hospitalized following a sudden illness.
The singer is known for writing well-known tracks like You Gotta Make Your Own Sunshine, and more.
Neil, 86, was rushed to a Los Angeles-area hospital on Friday morning, according to TMZ.
He fell ill early that morning, and was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment.
The songwriter remains in the hospital, where he is now recovering.
The Los Angeles County West Hollywood sheriff’s station told TMZ deputies assisted the fire department with a call related to a “medical request.”

Paramedics transported the victim to a local hospital at about 8 a.m.
He is still there being treated for this illness.
It has not been released what the singer fell ill with at this time.

Neil was a lyricist for Howard Greenfield early in his career, worked with Phil Cody in the 70s, and wrote for Elton John.
He also wrote hits for Connie Francis, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones, and Captain & Tennille.
