I tested Wowcher’s garden sofa set worth £900

SINCE moving from a flat to a house, I have been determined to make the most of my outdoor space.

With warmer days on the horizon, it’s time to ditch the plastic furniture and upgrade to something chicer.

So I jumped at the chance to get one of Wowcher’s latest garden furniture deals, ready for hosting my family and friends over the summer months.

I opted for a gorgeous corner sofa style – the 5 Seater Rattan Corner Sofa Set in grey, which comes with comfy cushions and a table with an in-built ice bucket.

This set would normally set you back over £899.99, but Wowcher currently have it on sale for £399.99 – that’s a whopping 56% off.

To add a rain cover, it costs a little more at £419.

I was impressed with how quickly this set came.

Upon delivery, I initially ran into a slight issue of getting the huge package into my garden.

The whole sofa comes in one massive box, and as I live in a terrace house, I don’t have access to my garden without going through the house.

So I ended up taking each component out of the box and carrying it through separately.

I did need to unscrew the sofa legs so it would fit through my kitchen door, so if your garden access is through your house, make sure you take that into account.

But luckily, once I did that, it was fine.

It’s pretty easy to screw the small number of parts together.

There aren’t really any fiddly bits, and if you’ve ever tackled any IKEA flatpacks, this will be a breeze to put together.

The instructions were simple but straightforward to follow, and I was able to have the base set up really quickly.

It’s sturdy and durable, the base is an aluminium frame, which makes it lightweight to move around easily, and the weather-resistant PE rattan weave material looks stylish and modern.

Mine also came with a rain cover, which I fear is a necessity when battling the temperamental UK weather.

The neutral grey tone I went with looks modern and timeless and fits with my overall garden decor. But this model also comes in a brown shade option too.

I was super impressed with how bouncy the cushions feel. The back cushions are plump and comfy to rest on.

The seat cushions are 9cm thick and well-padded, so you feel like you’re sitting on clouds, and I could really sit back and relax while I was testing it out.

I know this will be a hot spot for my guests come summer.

The L-shaped design is perfect for hosting or lying horizontal in the sun, and it works perfectly in my modest-sized garden, zoning my patio area from my grassy lawn area.

The set comes with a small coffee table, which has a handy sunken ice bucket in it and a glass cover top, which I know will get lots of use over the summer.

I can’t wait until the weather warms up a little, as I can see myself lounging on my new sofa with my morning coffee when I work from home and making the most of my newfound cosy set-up when I have guests over.
