THIS is the dramatic moment a dancer was engulfed in flames and frantically sprinted into a nearby river whilst performing a risky dance spectacle in China.
The woman was performing a fiery evening dance in a wildlife park in Nantong, a port city in China, which involved wearing a long red dress with a ring of fire burning around the hem.
The risky dance move looked beautifully dramatic as the dancer knelt in the sand and undulated her arms in the air with the ring of fire burning around her.
But the elegant display slowly turned into a horrifying spectacle as the flames of the dress began to burn up the woman’s body and into her loose, flying hair.
In the video footage, the dancer can be seen standing up and spinning in a circle of flames when the flaming dress has a dramatic malfunction and the burning hoop hem fails to detach.
The woman’s delight turned to terror as she became a human fireball and sprinted across the beach to desperately try to extinguish the flames in the nearby Yangtze river.
The woman runs along the beach for several agonising seconds as the flames lick up her body before mercifully plunging into the cool water and quickly extinguishing the terrifying inferno.
The dancer was taken to hospital but luckily is reported to be in good condition, with no serious injuries.
The dramatic dance performance has been suspended and is under health and safety review.
Another terrifying blaze nearly claimed the lives of two children when a motorbike exploded into a fireball after skidding across a quiet suburban street in Texas.
The motorbike burst into flames after hitting the kerb in a freak accident.
The rider and the children ran for the lives as the motorbike erupted into a blazing fireball.
The motorcyclist was briefly on fire as he fled the scene.
One neighbour ran out of their house to battle the flames with a water hose.
Fortunately, everyone escaped unharmed.
