CHRIS Evans and Hollywood legend Tim Roth starred in a hilarious spoof of Drive to Survive while marking the return of TFI Unplugged.
The Virgin Radio UK smash-hit YouTube series has just dropped its fifth episode, and the brilliant spoof opened it up perfectly.
The clip starts off by displaying a parody of the Netflix title screen, called “Notflix”.
From there unfolds an amazingly self deprecating take on Netflix‘s hit Formula 1 docuseries Drive to Survive.
The episode starts by showing a specially made trail called TFI-VE TO SURVIVE.
This is a blatant nod to the racing phenomenon, which features presenter Chris in the latest series.
Cruz Beckham will appear on Chris Evans’ TFI Unplugged THIS week
FRIDAY FEELING
Chris Evans’ legendary TFI Friday RETURNS after 10 years off-screen
Shot in a candid, behind-the-scenes style that mirrors the slick, high-drama world of Drive to Survive, a humourously deadpan Chris then introduces himself to viewers.
He turns to the camera and says: “My name is Chris Evans, original presenter of TFI Friday.”
Funny quips are peppered throughout the bit and they only get funnier.
When asked how he would describe the reboot of his beloved 90s show, Chris simply says: “Like the old one, but only 1% of the budget.”
Shortly after Tim appears outside of Chris’ studio asking if he’s even getting “f*****g paid for this” as it’s “a bit cheap, isn’t it?”.
The star then leaves while playfully calling Chris a rude name.
Since launching just one month ago, the reboot of TFI Friday has accumulated over a million views on YouTube.
Joining Chris this week is a stellar lineup of famous faces including father and son Kurt and Wyatt Russell, and Hollywood icon Dave Franco.
Much-loved Gavin & Stacey actress Joanna Page, iconic rock legend Billy Idol, Doc Martin star Martin Clunes and The Inbetweeners‘ very own James Buckley, also join the lineup.
Lastly there will be a performance from the band Squeeze to entertain viewers even further.
Across its first four episodes, TFI Unplugged has already welcomed an extraordinary roster of guests.
These include Chris Hemsworth, Patrick Dempsey, Prue Leith, Delroy Lindo and Cruz Beckham.
New episodes of TFI Unplugged go live every Friday at 6pm, exclusively on the Virgin Radio UK YouTube channel, where all four previous episodes are available to watch now.
