A HERD of llamas turned into crime fighters with their own version of a citizen’s arrest on a man suspected of theft.
They stepped in after he tried to evade cops by going into their farm enclosure.

Eight of the big woolly creatures cornered the intruder, who was being pursued by officers after a woman had packets of tobacco stolen on Monday.
The animals, known for spitting when threatened, alerted owners Heidi Price and Graham Oliver by crying out.
Heidi said the man looked terrified as the animals surrounded him.
She added: “They literally made a circle around him, and then started releasing their warning cry, which sounds like an old man laughing.”

The couple, who had contacted the police, got him away from the animals and he was arrested.
Heidi, who has had the llamas for ten years, said: “If it hadn’t been for them making their citizen’s arrest, this guy would have got away.
“I’m really proud of my llamas.
“When all this was happening, they didn’t spit on to anyone so they kept their good manners, even when faced with adversity.”
Police confirmed that a man in his 30s had been arrested on suspicion of theft in South Normanton, Derbys.
