Gemma Collins admits to using fat jabs to lose weight

GEMMA Collins has admitted to using fat jabs to lose weight and has opened up about the scary health battle that made her stop.

She told her I’m A Celeb campmates why she stopped taking them

She was taking the fat jabs before having to stop after experiencing pancreatis and a flare up of her gall bladder.

As she spoke to Adam Thomas and Seann Walsh about it, Seann asked her if the health complications were as a result of the fat loss injections.

She admitted: “I can’t prove it was that but I’ve gone all through life without  it.

“But my own personal experience, when you first take it, it’s absolutely life changing, you cannot believe how amazing it is.”

CAMP UPROAR

Seann asked: “So what happens, you just stop being hungry?”

She responded: “So for instance, when I was first on it, me and Rami went for a Turkish and in my whole life, if a bread basket went down, oh mate, there’s nothing like a bread basket.

“Do you know how weird it was for me to sit there, have the bread in front of me and not want it, can you imagine how bizarre that was for me? Cos normally I would want it.

“It was great, it was liberating, I had freedom. I didn’t want the bread, but that was in the very beginning.

“When I moved up through the doses, I ended up going up to 15 on it, 15mg and that was when a few weeks later I got the pain.”

She confirmed she lost a lot of weight while taking the fat jabs, before adding: “I’ve done everything, from the Kate Moss diet to the cabbage shoot, but it depends on your body.

“What works for you and you, don’t work for me. But fortunately I’m with someone who loves me exactly as I am.

“Two pounds up, two pounds down, he loves me.”

The reality star went from a size 26 to size 20 in just three months of starting the weight-loss injections.

She previously spoke about her health complications as she told Daily Mail: “I had a little gallbladder attack.

“I’m not sure if it’s linked, they say it can be linked, it’s not always the case, so I’ve had to slow down on it all for a bit.

“We were going away for Rami’s 50th and I was in excruciating pain. I’d taken him to a Ferrari day because it was his 50th birthday and we were flying the next day.

“I fell to the floor, whilst he was going round the track. And I was like, whoa, I’m in pain.

“And then I was thinking I’m gonna have to go and sit in A&E.

“I called my doctor and he said, ‘let me come to your house scan you’. When he scanned me, it was gallstones.

“But gallstones, this is where I’m not 100 per cent convinced at the minute, gallstones, everyone can have gallstones and they can flare up at any time.

“You know, I was in such pain, but I’ve got the medication at the minute that’s helping me.

“At the time, it was agonising and I thought I’m, I’m not gonna make it to Cyprus.

“But, you know, the doctors were great and I’ve got pain relief for it now so we’re just gonna really have to see how it goes, you know.”

According to the NHS Gallstones are small stones that form in the gallbladder.

Most people who have them do not get symptoms but if gallstones are causing pain in your tummy, you may need surgery to remove your gallbladder.
