GORDON Ramsay has revealed his new son-in-law Adam Peaty calls him “dad”.
Peaty married TV chef Ramsay’s daughter Holly in December, but the Olympic gold medal winning swimmer’s mother Caroline was allegedly banned from the nuptials following a family rift.
Rumours of a fallout between Peaty, Holly and the Olympian’s family emerged in November.
Caroline accused the Ramsays of pulling her son “away from her”.
But now Ramsay has told how he feels like he’s gained a son rather than losing a daughter, saying of Peaty: “He calls me dad. He messaged me and said ‘Hey dad what have you got? Hey dad, are you around later?’
“And it’s just like ‘Oh my God’. Incredible. And what a lovely couple. They are a dream for Tana and I.”

Asked by Gaby Roslin on the Reasons To Be Joyful podcast how much he cried at the wedding, Ramsay, 59, joked: “Don’t, have you seen the size of the flower bill?
“Sixty-three metre walk down the aisle and I don’t know why Holly thought that every pew needed to be decorated with the most gorgeous carnations.
“All the flowers did go to a hospice and the local hospital literally the day after.
“And then there’s this moment, the car journey, and she’s holding my hand, she’s squeezing it, and said ‘Dad, it’s time’. And I ‘Oh no’.
“You know when you get excited and then you’re just sort of nervous and you say ‘No’.
“And then I walked into the bloody church and there’s Adam absolutely bawling like he’s just got out of the swimming pool.
“And even I’m feeling emotional now because it is an incredible day and we had such an amazing morning together.
“And I sort of got a new son as well, as opposed to saying goodbye to Holly.
“An amazing day. And yeah, Bath Abbey, just beautiful, really beautiful.
“The whole thing just went incredibly well.
“The speech I had to hold it together. I was first up and so I wanted to set the tone in a way that this means so much for Tana and I.
“Adam is one of the most gorgeous disciplined young men you’ll ever hope to meet, and just so focused.”
As well as his mother Caroline, his dad Mark, brothers James and Richard and his extended family were not present for his and Holly’s nuptials.
James was previously arrested over allegations he sent threats to the Olympian during his stag do.
As a result, Adam received a police escort from Manchester Airport in November after the trip from Budapest.
The Strictly Come Dancing star had allegedly told his dad Mark he could attend his wedding if sat at the back of the venue.
But he declined, finding the offer insulting, and remained at home 150 miles away as Adam tied the knot.
Adam reportedly received a stinging text from his estranged aunt Louise just moments before walking down the aisle, according to the Daily Mail.
Her text allegedly read: “I hope you never suffer the depth of pain you have put your mother through and despite it all she loves you still. Shame on you both. Shame.
“Remember on this, your happiest day, and on each anniversary of your happiest day, that you hurt your mum so deeply her soul screams.”
His sister Beth was the only family member on his side present as she acted as one of Holly’s Maids of honour.
