RYAN GARCIA has vowed to get the last laugh by knocking out Mario Barrios to become WBC welterweight world champion.
Garcia has been all business in the build-up to the title showdown tomorrow night in Las Vegas – live on DAZN PPV.
The often unpredictable and volatile star has shown nothing but respect to champion Barrios as he looks to rescue the career he almost blew.
But Garcia says the niceties end now as he promised to dethrone Barrios in vicious style.
“You’re going to see a ferocious Ryan Garcia in the ring,” he said. “We’re not here to play games, from the start of the bout we’ll be ready to fight.”
Garcia is back for the second time since serving a one-year suspension for testing positive for ostarine – known to boost muscle mass – in 2024.

His win over Devin Haney, 27, was subsequently overturned to a no-contest with Garcia forced to accept a ban despite protesting his innocence.
It sparked a dark period in his career, resulting in booze binges, public outbursts and worrying social media posts.
Garcia, 27, returned last May but lost to Rolly Romero, 30, sparking a much-needed change in his life.
He got clean and sober – saving the career his dad and trainer Henry once feared was going up in smoke.

Ryan Garcia is back in the world title fold as he faces Mario Barrios in a huge Las Vegas showpiece.
The 27-year-old star last fought in May when he was humbled by Rolly Romero in a one-sided loss in Times Square, so he’ll be desperate to bounce back in the best way possible.
But before his major bout, the undercard features some top fights such as Gary Russell vs Andy Hiraoka and unbeaten Richardson Hitchins defending his IBF super-lightweight belt against Oscar Duarte.

And Garcia has vowed to dedicate winning the world title to his old man – who will be the lead coach in the corner.
“I’m expecting a knockout. I don’t know if it’s going to be in the seventh or eighth but I know there’s going to be one,” Henry said.
“I respect all boxers that get in the ring, I really do. But I know my son, we’ve been doing this since he was eight years old.
“This is his time, this is God’s time and we’re going to do it!”
Barrios, 30, welcomed Manny Pacquiao, 47, back to the ring last July but it ended in a draw.
He was also knocked out by Gervonta Davis, 31, in 2021 but the champ is adamant this will be his crowning night in Las Vegas.
“I’m going in there with bad intentions, going in there with all the work we’ve put in. I think this fight could definitely end early.”
