Final decision on Love Island winners’ Samie & Ciaran’s £50k revealed as fans demand they lose the prize pot after split

FANS have demanded Love Island winners Ciaran Davies and Samie Elishi hand back their prize after splitting. 

Now the real situation on their £50k loot can be revealed. 

Insiders explained to The Sun’s podcast Showbiz Fix how Love Island’s prize process works and if it would be altered for the pair following their break-up. 

Viewers felt they shouldn’t keep the loot after lasting just three weeks in the real world.

The insider said: “Love Island’s prize is awarded solely on winning the vote and there are no conditions placed on how long the relationship lasts after the final. 

“There’s no relationship clause.

“So Samie and Ciaran are legally entitled to the £50k, and it’s awarded straight after the final so is already in their bank accounts.”

The pair called it quits last week before Samie flew out to New York on a brand trip, with The Sun reporting the split on Sunday.

It had been suggested her diary was to blame, with a source close to Ciaran saying Samie was “pretty focused on work.”

But pals of the influencer have since filled in the blanks and shared: “Lots of couples survive busy diaries, it just needs both parties to communicate and stay connected that way, which is something that was lacking. 

“She just wasn’t hearing from him.

“Things just fizzled out because there was no communication and they realised they didn’t have much in common when they were out in the real world.”

Ciaran has now left his home in Wales to stay in temporary lodgings with the American islanders including Carrington Rodriguez and Yamen Sanders in London. 

The insider added: “Yes Ciaran being in London might mean he and Samie bump into each other at events so who knows.”
