Currently, capacity stands at just under 11,000 but plans are in place to build additional outdoor seating to enhance the pre-match atmosphere.

More supporters will be able to fill out the stadium as well with additional room for corporate hospitality.

A “huge covered area” will be created, housing a “large bar to increase service options and speed.”

The club released a statement with concept images of how the new ground will look.

Initial proposals include an event and conference space behind the Rilmac Stand.

Two TV screens will be placed in the fan village with another one inside the stadium itself.

A new PA system will also be added to ramp up the noise for what could be a Championship club once all this is done.

Lincoln are second in League One as it stands, four points off leaders Cardiff.

They are eight ahead of Bolton (third) having played a game less, although Bradford could close the gap to seven if they win their match in hand.

Lincoln have been in League One for seven years since gaining promotion.

The club have never been in the Championship but have grand ambitions for their stadium regardless.

Up to 350 people will be able to dine out in the conference space with seats around the ground ready to be replaced.

It has been confirmed that work could start imminently with planning permission set to go in.

The idea is for it all to be completed before the 2026-27 season starts in around six months.
