DATING NAKED UK star Rico Hammett has shared his heartbreak after his friend’s tragic death as he shared an emotional tribute for him.
The reality star shot to fame on the first series of the hit Paramount+ show before returning for the second instalment, which is now available to stream on Channel 4.
Rico took to Instagram to reveal the emotional news as she posted a series of pictures of himself and his longtime pal Dan.
Among them were snaps of the two posing with pals as well as screenshots of messages between them.
He penned: “No words will ever describe this feeling, and I never thought I’d be writing this in my lifetime.
“We truly travelled the world, embarrassed each other on national TV, and shared some of the best moments of our lives. Those memories will stay with me forever.

“No matter where life takes us, you will always be my brother. Love you x,” he signed off.
Rico’s followers flocked to the comments section to extend their heartfelt condolences to him.
One person wrote: “Lovely boy. Absolutely gutted for you all! Couldn’t even imagine! Xx.”
Another social media follower penned: “You both had such a special bond. Dan will always be by your side boy xxx.”
Somebody else commented: “So sorry for your loss mate, heartbreaking. Sending you big hugs and strength.”
While a fourth added: “I’m sorry Rico, I can’t feel it but I can imagine your pain. Take care.”
The reality star appeared on the racy dating show in a bid to find love while being completely naked.
During the first series, he was the first dater to exit after a shocking turn of events at the dumping ground.
Following his exit, he told host Rylan Clark: “I’m a bit gutted. It’s been awesome. Everyone’s been awesome. It was an amazing experience.”
However, he was given the chance to return for the second series which aired last year, and formed a strong bond with Lauren Louise.
The pair ended up going all the way and were declared winners of the second series, winning a huge £45,000 to share between them.
The two don’t appear to still be together post the show ending and they’re not following one another on social media.
It was revealed last year that a celebrity edition of the dating show was axed after failing to sign up any famous faces.
A source told The Sun: “Dating Naked UK became a great success for Paramount and doing a celeb spin-off was the next natural step.
“However, bosses failed to find anywhere near enough celebrities willing to bare all for the daring programme.
“They’ve been forced to scrap plans and abandon ship in a bitter blow.
“It’s not what they’d hoped for but it seems the stars don’t want to be totally exposed!”
