The victims next-of-kin has been informed and they are being looked after by specially trained officers.
Detective Superintendent Charlie Naughton has sought to reassure the community.
He said: “This murder investigation is in its earlier stages and detectives are working hard to establish exactly what happened at the house on Friday evening.
“We have arrested three people who will be questioned to help us get a full picture of what happened.
“Specially trained officers are supporting the victim’s family.
“At this time, we believe the incident was contained to the house and there is no risk to the wider public.
“I know this will cause a great deal of shock in the local community.
“We’ll have officers in the area and I’d encourage anyone with information to speak to one of them.”
Anyone with information that could help police with their enquiries are urged to get in touch and quote incident 491 of 20 March 2026.
