It is maybe the reset Arsenal need, having a weekend without Premier League football.
Despite a couple of thumping wins in the last couple of weeks, in the space of a week, their nine-point advantage has diminished now down to four.
They’re still on for a successful campaign though and the word quadruple is still being thrown around. But they could also quite easily finish trophyless as they continue to show signs of weakness heading towards the business end.
Ironically, a weakness from defending a set piece in midweek saw them drop points at Brentford, who will count themselves unfortunate not to have beaten the leaders.
Progression should be a formality here though when welcoming a Wigan side who are toiling in League One.
Wigan are third bottom in the third tier having lost four games on the spin and five of the last six.
They sacked manager Ryan Lowe after 11 months in charge when losing 6-1 to Peterborough last week to see them into the relegation zone.

Gabriel Martinelli has found himself out the picture a little bit at the Gunners having played just over an hour in total across the last four Premier League games.
He’s being used as a cup player presently, with 90 minutes against Chelsea in the second leg of the Carabao Cup semi and 77 minutes against Kairat.
