A jazzed-up version of a nineties cult toy has been named one of the top buys for Christmas 2025 by Amazon.
DJ Furby, a modern twist on the robotic owl-like creature first launched in 1998, has topped the retailer’s list of top toys.
At £59.99, DJ Furby Interactive Plush Toy is an upgrade from the nineties classic, and comes with more than 1,000 custom songs and remixes – as well as games for children over the age of six.
Also on the list is the Squishmallow Holiday Fox – a squishy orange fox wearing a festive plaid scarf, the Rainbow High Air Brush & Create – DIY Fashion Doll Kit (£26.99) and The LEGO Creator 3in1 Wild Animals: Majestic Rhino with Birds, priced at £51.69.
The online retailer’s ‘Toys We Love’ list for Christmas 2025 also includes the Pets Alive Mama Turtle Surprise by ZURU (£19.99) and the Learning Resources Numberblocks Wooden Building Blocks Activity Set (£22.99).
While the first gives children the experience of looking after pets, the second provides a fun way for them to improve their numeracy skills.
Finally, the Sky Trails Starter Kit – Construction Toy, priced at £69.99, promises hours of fun for adventurous boys and girls while the Mattel Brick Shop Hot Wheels Premium Series Building Set – the most expensive item on the list at £135.94 – will be a favourite among kids for its realistic details and metal parts.
